iPSCore to Represent UZH at EXPO 2025 in Osaka

The iPSCore Technology Platform of the University of Zurich will take part in an international event at the Swiss Pavilion of EXPO 2025 in Osaka, Japan.

This unique occasion is organized in collaboration with the Center for iPS Cell Research and Application (CiRA) at Kyoto University - the birthplace of induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) - and will highlight recent advances in stem cell technologies and regenerative medicine.

Representing UZH, Dr. Melanie Generali, Head of iPSCore, and Dennis Zorndt, Research Associate, will travel to Japan to take part in a high-level scientific exchange and public engagement event. The gathering will bring together leading experts in iPSC innovation from both Switzerland and Japan, alongside a broader audience. The focus will be on showcasing how stem cell technologies are driving the translation of cutting-edge research into clinical and therapeutic applications. iPSCore’s invitation to participate reflects the facility’s international visibility and the strategic role of academic technology platforms in fostering impactful global collaboration.
