The Swiss Confederation promotes interdisciplinary research projects of strategic importance for a maximum period of twelve years as National Centres of Competence in Research (NCCR). Six new NCCRs have now been designated for the period from 2026 to 2038. Two of these prestigious large-scale projects are based at UZH: "Children & Cancer" (UZH and University of Lausanne) and "Muoniverse" (Paul Scherrer Institute PSI and UZH).
