SNSF Starting Grants 2025: 10 projects at UZH
The Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) is funding 10 projects at the University of Zurich with a Starting Grant 2025. The total amount of the grants awarded is over 16.8 million Swiss francs.
With the SNSF Starting Grants, the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) supports researchers who are leading their own research project and team in Switzerland. In the 2025 call for proposals, 10 UZH researchers convinced the evaluation committees with their applications. Of the projects funded, 3 are based at the Faculty of Medicine, 3 at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, 2 at the Vetsuisse Faculty, 1 at the Faculty of Science, and 1 at the Faculty of Business, Economics and Informatics. Following a two-stage evaluation, the SNSF decided to support a total of 41 applications. The average duration of the projects is five years and the average funding amount is CHF 1.7 million.
