The Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) is funding 14 projects by early career researchers at the University of Zurich with an AMBIZIONE grant.
With Ambizione, the SNSF has been funding promising early career researchers from Switzerland and abroad since 2008. In the 2023 call, 14 UZH researchers convinced the evaluation committees with their applications. Of the funded projects, seven are based at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, five at the Faculty of Science, one at the Vetsuisse Faculty and one at the Faculty of Business, Economics and Informatics.
Following a two-stage evaluation, the SNSF has now awarded a total of 92 grants amounting to CHF 75.7 million. The average duration of the projects is four years and the average grant amount is CHF 820,000.
