Launch of Pivot-RP for UZH

Members of UZH have now access to Pivot-RP, a database for funding opportunities. Pivot-RP is a more user-friendly and more powerful upgrade of the older Research Professional database. Pivot-RP can be accessed via pivot.proquest.com/dashboard. The database providers offer an online training session for UZH users, which takes place on 30 October from 11-12h.

There are multiple ways to use Pivot-RP. You can access and search the database as a guest user from within the UZH network, with a VPN connection or using the SSO login. You can also create a user account with your UZH credentials and then set up your personal profile.

Accessing with a personal account will allow you to costumize and save searches for funding opportunities, to activate e-mail alerts, to link your profile to your ORCID ID and receive suggestions for funding opportunities on that basis or to connect with other users.

In the section “Funding” you can search for funding opportunities by keywords, disciplines, specific funders worldwide (both public and private) or by many other filters.

Check the links in the “Tips & Resources” box on the start page for more guidance or in case of technical issues.

You can also find out more about the database and the different features in the online user training session on 30 October 2025 from 11-12h. Registration is not necessary, just join the Teams call using this link.

Research Professional continues to be accessible for UZH members. Unfortunately, it is not possible to transfer existing user accounts from Research Professional to Pivot-RP. You will have to create a new account directly in Pivot-RP.
