SNSF Starting Grants 2024: 14 projects at UZH

The Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) is funding 14 projects at the University of Zurich with a Starting Grant 2027. The total amount of the grants awarded is over 24.7 million Swiss francs.

With the SNSF Starting Grants, the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) supports researchers who are leading their own research project and team in Switzerland. In the 2024 call for proposals, 14 UZH researchers convinced the evaluation committees with their applications. Of the funded projects, 8 at the Faculty of Medicine, 4 are based at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, and 2 at the Faculty of Science. Following a two-stage evaluation, the SNSF decided to support a total of 61 applications. The average duration of the projects is five years and the average funding amount is CHF 1.7 million.
