The technology platforms (TPF) of the University of Zurich contribute to research excellence by providing professional and efficient access to equipment and technology.

They actively support researchers in their projects and offer theoretical and practical training.

Functional Genomics Center Zurich (FGCZ)

The FGCZ offers unique support in the areas of genomics, proteomics and advanced physical analysis of biology.


    The facility provides expertise and state-of-the-art instrumentation in mass and flow cytometry.

      Nanobody Service Facility (NSF)

      Production and selection of highly specific single-domain antibody fragments, commonly known as nanobodies.

        Center for Magnetic Resonance Imaging at the University Hospital of Psychiatry Zurich

        Diagnostic imaging in neurobiological research and expertise for the translation of findings into medical application.

          Center for Microscopy and Image Analysis (ZMB)

          The center operates state-of-the-art light and electron microscopes and supports life science research with project-specific applications.

            Linguistic Research Infrastructure (LiRI)

            LiRI provides scientific technologies and equipment and promotes research with a focus on linguistics.

              Viral Vector Facility (VVF)

              Production of viral vectors for preclinical applications as well as related services, such as plasmid amplification, cloning of custom-made plasmids and consultation.

                World glacier monitoring service (WGMS)

                Analyzing service and international data repository for glacier changes.

                  Swiss Art Research Infrastructure (SARI)
