The Doc.Mobility fellowships enable doctoral students to conduct a part of their dissertation at a research institute abroad and to enhance their scientific profile. Doc.Mobility fellowships are awarded in all disciplines funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF).

Mobility fellowships for research work at a foreign institution include payment toward living costs and travel expenses and, in certain cases, expenses incurred by conducting research and attending conferences. The amount granted is based on the applicants’ family status and on the cost of living in the host country.

Duration of fellowships
6 months up to a maximum of 18 months

If the approved duration of the fellowship is less than the maximum duration of 18 months, an extension up to the maximum duration may be granted on request. An extension cannot be guaranteed.
